HALF A BAPTISM (One Page Summary) Does the Bible teach that there is only one Baptism (in water) or one Baptism with two parts to it?
Eph. 4.5 says: "One Lord, One Faith, one Baptism"...
We know that baptism in water is scriptural.
That's one. The other Scriptural baptism is "in the Holy Spirit (Acts
19:1-7; Matt. 3:11; etc.). Two parts, one doctrine. Man baptizes
in water. Jesus baptizes in the Holy Spirit.
The 20th century--especially the last couple of decades--saw a decline in the "passed away" teaching. Christians by the millions have learned that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a Scripturally solid teaching, and that the gifts of the Holy Spirit (I Cor. 12:8-10) are for the church now. The bottom line is that Christ's Church--a latent powerhouse of miraculous works ordained by Jesus (John 14:12)--is straining to fulfill Scripture, big time! As a doctrine, water baptism by
itself only allowed the church to run on four cylinders. With Holy
Spirit Baptism gaining ground everywhere, the church is being prepared to
hit on all eight cylinders! It is getting positioned for God to use
when He rids the churches of all false doctrines; The basis
will be there when He manifests miracles that will shake the world.
What was stolen from the church for so long is being rapidly and
dramatically reclaimed. There are excesses, and there are Satanic double
agents in the movement, of course [e.g., IICor. 11:13-15], but, not to worry! The Holy Spirit
is directing these early scenes of the last act of God's earthly drama!
God's people will soon come out of Babylon (Rev. 18:4) When they do, they will need
the gifts God supplies through Holy Spirit Baptism to help them through the
7th Trumpet and "little season" time frames. |
